The food of Braj (Mathura) is so delicious that once someone eats it, he never forgets that taste. Here Aligarh style Bedhai has made people crazy. Actually, there is a cart of Bedhai made in Aligarh style at Masani Chowk of Mathura. People here are very fond of Aligarh’s Bedhai.

As soon as the morning comes, food lovers start gathering at this cart to eat Bedhai. Many times they wait for the cart owner. The line and crowd of people is so much that as soon as the Bedhai comes out of the pan, it disappears in the blink of an eye. The dry vegetable and raita served with Bedhai is very much liked by the people. People eat not just one or two but many Bedhai.

Bedhaai has been eating this for 10 years

Customer Sonu Sharma told Local 18 that the day starts with eating Bedhai here. He has been eating Bedhai continuously for 10 years. The delicious Bedhai here attracts us every day. They make Bedhai on Aligarh pattern. He said that there is a lot of crowd. Sometimes customers pack the food themselves.

Raita enhances the taste of Bedha

Shop owner Pawan Sharma told Local 18 that he has been running the shop for 10 years. A plate of Bedhai is sold for ₹20. There are two pieces of Bedhai in one plate. We first learned to make it in Aligarh, after that we came to Mathura and started a stall. The special thing here is that Bedhai is also served dipped in raita. Potato curry without oil and raita are served with Bedhai. More than 200 plates are sold in a day. There is a different pleasure in eating Bedhai dipped in raita.
